Job summary

Jobot in Orlando, FL is seeking a highly motivated Civil Litigation Attorney to join our established defense boutique. This permanent on-site role focuses on high-exposure trial work, discovery, pleadings, motions, appeals, and courtroom litigation across Florida.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, bar admission, 1–10 years of associate experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to handle a diverse caseload from inception to trial.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to state bar where practicing.
• 1–10 years of Associate Attorney experience with strong court experience.
• Strong discovery, writing, research, pleadings, motions, appeals, and courtroom litigation experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic judgment.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with clients.
• Strong ethics and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for the law and desire to uphold justice.

Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Conduct discovery, draft and respond to requests, take and defend depositions, manage document production.
• Advise clients on legal rights, risks, and opportunities.
• Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes without trial.
• Collaborate with staff and stakeholders for efficient case resolution.
• Stay updated on legal trends to provide accurate advice.

Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of civil litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in discovery, legal writing, legal research, civil litigation, preparing pleadings and motions, appeals, and courtroom litigation. Responsibilities

• Handling a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Representing clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Conducting discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, and managing document production.
• Advising clients on legal rights and obligations, as well as potential legal risks and opportunities.
• Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes without trial.
• Collaborating with legal staff and other stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient resolution of cases.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest legal trends and developments to provide the most accurate advice and representation to clients.

Qualifications

• A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar where practicing.
• 1-10 years of Associate Attorney experience and a strong desire to go to court and try cases
• Strong experience in discovery, legal writing, legal research, preparing pleadings and motions, appeals, and courtroom litigation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients in a variety of settings.
• A strong commitment to professional ethics and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for the law and a strong desire to uphold justice.
