Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a litigation associate in Stamford, CT, offering a hybrid work arrangement and substantial early responsibility. The role focuses on professional liability, securities, and complex civil defense matters, with direct client exposure and mentorship from experienced litigators.

You will draft motions and pleadings, manage deadlines, and participate in depositions and hearings, contributing to sophisticated cases and client strategies in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Connecticut bar admission required.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
• Professional liability and/or securities litigation experience preferred.
• Deposition, discovery, motion practice, or client-facing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters and help drive cases toward resolution.
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and strategy.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
• Develop litigation strategy alongside experienced attorneys.
• Manage deadlines, discovery obligations, and multiple active matters.
• Gain exposure to sophisticated professional liability, securities, insurance, and related civil disputes.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
