Job summary

Orion Placement seeks a California-licensed associate to manage own civil litigation matters within a sophisticated practice. You will draft motions, participate in depositions and hearings, and advise clients with support from seasoned attorneys.

The role offers a hybrid Los Angeles schedule and meaningful responsibility from day one. Candidates must have JD, CA bar, 1+ year civil litigation experience; securities or professional liability exposure is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own litigation matters and drive cases toward resolution.
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and other documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Provide strategic updates and recommendations to clients.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues.
• Develop case strategy with experienced litigators.
• Defend professionals including attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, and insurers.
• Assist with securities disputes and FINRA matters.
• Handle Directors and Officers and other complex litigation.

Job description

Pay: $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Note:

• Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities.
• Professional liability and/or securities litigation experience preferred.
• Deposition, discovery, motion practice, or direct client experience is a plus.
