Job summary

Orionplacement in Branford, CT seeks an attorney to own civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, developing case strategy and guiding pleadings and discovery. You will gain real courtroom experience through depositions, hearings, and trials, with direct client exposure and collaboration with experienced litigators.

A J.D. from an accredited law school is required; Connecticut Bar admission is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution.
• Develop case strategy, conduct legal research, and provide practical advice to clients.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, motions, and trials.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and case resolution strategy.
• Prepare cases for trial, including exhibits, witnesses, legal arguments, and overall trial strategy.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, risks, and recommended next steps.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support professionals on complex litigation matters.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
