Job summary

Harris & Associates is seeking a Project Manager for its Engineering Services team in California. You will oversee multiple water, sewer, and stormwater projects, lead design teams, develop proposals, and manage budgets to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery.

The role requires a CA PE license or active candidacy, 8+ years engineering experience including 3+ years in PM, and strong client relations. A flexible hybrid/remote work plan is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• CA Professional Engineer license required or in process.
• Minimum 8 years engineering experience with at least 3 years in PM.
• PM certification preferred.
• Water/sewer/stormwater experience required; pipeline and pump stations preferred.
• Strong client and project management skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of multiple water, sewer, and stormwater projects with client management.
• Lead design teams and deliver capital infrastructure plans and specs.
• Develop proposals and fee estimates for opportunities with strategic clients.
• Manage projects through full PM cycle for mid-sized projects.
• Direct projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop budgets and scopes with limited guidance.
• Facilitate negotiations, drive consensus, and resolve conflicts.
• Coordinate with marketing and technical leadership for BD.
• Mentor engineers and delegate tasks across teams.
• Travel as required.
