Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop accurate proposals for private and public projects in a fast-paced environment. You will analyze labor, materials, and equipment costs, review drawings, and collaborate with field operations to ensure complete and competitive bids.

Role requires 2+ years of estimating experience, a bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of civil/Construction principles and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years estimating experience with prior project engineer and take-off exposure.
• Working knowledge of civil/construction principles and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and timely proposals and estimates for private and public sector works.
• Analyze data on labor, materials, equipment, and location to produce estimates.
• Review drawings and site conditions; coordinate with field ops for inputs.
• Assess bidding risks and present estimates to senior estimator for review.
• Communicate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings.
• Identify alternative methods to improve bid competitiveness.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental policies in estimates.
• Support continuous improvement in estimating processes.
