Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil / Environmental Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team on projects impacting water, land, and infrastructure. You will work under guidance on tasks and smaller projects, assisting in evaluating engineering principles and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Responsibilities include field work, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain evaluations, stormwater facility design, and coordination with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or related field is required.
• 0–2 years of experience; co-op/internship experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative team environment and learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation, recommendations, and specification of engineering principles.
• Support field work and basic engineering tasks on projects of varying complexity.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and stormwater planning.
• Assist in floodplain evaluations, modeling, and permit support.
• Contribute to civil site design and planning efforts.
• Provide field support for water quality studies and watershed assessments.
