Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join a municipal engineering team. You will assist in civil and municipal project design for highways, utilities, parks, and trails, under supervision of a Licensed Engineer.

You will develop construction plans, reports, and cost estimates, and perform field observations while working with a collaborative team to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; EIT exam within six months of starting.
• Co-op/internship preferred for new graduates; 1–2 years of related civil engineering experience for more experienced engineers.
• Proficient with Civil 3D, GIS and MS Office; able to learn new software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a team in the development of civil designs, plans and specifications under supervision of a Project Manager/Engineer.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design intent compatibility.
• Perform field work and construction observation as needed by project scope.
