Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer to contribute under guidance on tasks and small projects, collaborating with senior staff to select best engineering plans.

You will verify compliance with codes and standards and support project teams across disciplines. You will perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, assist in stormwater planning and floodplain evaluations, and contribute to site design and field studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience; co-op/internship experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in the field and collaborate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines under a senior engineer's guidance.
• Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
• Assist with basic engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Assist in stormwater master planning at basin scale.
• Assist in floodplain evaluations, including modeling and permit support.
• Support power sector projects including existing infrastructure maintenance and new design.
• Assist in the design and analysis of stormwater facilities.
• Provide field support for water quality studies and watershed assessments.
• Assist in civil site design and planning efforts.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
