Job summary

Arizona Public Service is seeking ABET-accredited engineering students for the Palo Verde Internship. This paid 10-week program runs from May to July, with housing provided for in-person interns. You will work on real engineering and business projects, guided by leaders and assigned a dedicated mentor.

You will participate in orientation, professional development, and company tours to learn about APS and Palo Verde operations, with opportunities to present project results to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Actively enrolled in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and problem solving.
• Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple to intermediate analysis and designs for projects.
• Assist in research, documentation, and technical reviews; summarize findings.
• Learn business/engineering operations and apply learning to assignments.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to achieve project goals.
• Support mentor and supervisor in day-to-day tasks.
