Job summary

Arizona Public Service is offering a Palo Verde Summer internship for ABET-accredited engineering students. It is a paid 10-week program starting in May and ending in July. Interns receive support from leaders, participate in a New Hire Orientation, professional development, and company tours to learn about Palo Verde and APS.

Qualified students will receive housing during the program if an in-person internship. The primary recruiting method is at college career fairs.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an ABET-accredited college or university undergraduate program in an engineering discipline or related applied science discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and safety standards in the relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs; assists in preparing plans, designs, specs, cost estimates, evaluations, and studies.
• Assists in research, documentation, and technical reviews; prepares reports or presentations.
• Utilizes internal resources to learn operations and apply learning to assignments.
• Coordinates with other disciplines or departments to achieve project goals.
• Performs other related duties as required.
