Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2027 program in Oakland, CA. This is a paid, full-time internship with a potential transition to a full-time role after graduation.

The successful candidate will work under project managers and team leaders, collaborating with engineers, scientists and technologists on preparatory drawings, calculations and design tasks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent data collection, technical writing and communication skills.
• Collaborative, organized, self-motivated, detail oriented; able to learn quickly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Earth.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of engineering drawings and engineering calculations.
• Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Support additional tasks as necessary.
