Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program. This is a paid full-time position running from June through August 2027, with potential to transition into a Full-Time role after graduation.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders, partnering with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent data collection, technical writing and communication skills.
• Collaborative, organized, self-motivated, detail orientated person.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Earth.
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.
• Applicants must possess a clean driving record.
• Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of engineering drawings and engineering calculations.
• Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Support additional tasks as necessary.
