Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to support standard engineering tasks across market segments, with a focus on transportation design and analysis. You will assist lead engineers, handle data, and contribute to document preparation.

The role emphasizes learning, problem solving and collaboration, with duties ranging from data entry to presenting solutions. A 3.0 GPA and active campus involvement are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus or community activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to concerns and assist with project duties.
• Research solutions to project concerns and recommend remedies.
• Support lead engineers with various duties and ad hoc projects.
• Adhere to company policies and standards.
