Job summary

VAA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to turn classroom learning into real projects. You’ll work with our Civil team on infrastructure that supports facilities, gain hands-on experience, and see how civil design shapes sites and systems.

During the summer you will assist with site layouts, grading, drainage and utilities; help prepare drawings and documentation; and use civil engineering software while collaborating with engineers and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in site development, infrastructure and how projects come together.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities and other civil design work.
• Help prepare drawings, plans, details and project documentation.
• Gain experience with civil engineering software and design tools.
• Work alongside engineers and designers on real client projects.
