Job summary

CAGE Engineering, Inc. invites Civil Engineer Interns to join a design team working on real client projects from day one, learning Civil 3D and site design while building professional skills through structured trainings and mentorship.

You will check in with a mentor, attend office hours, and gain hands-on experience on land development projects in a collaborative environment that values growth and integrity.

Qualifications

• In pursuit of a BS in Engineering with no prior professional experience required.
• Familiar with CAD concepts and software.
• Strong desire to learn and advance technical skills.
• Team-oriented with good communication and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support production of design documents and calculations including site planning and stormwater analysis.
• Help prepare construction documents, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and permit docs.
• Prepare site, grading, and utility plans for developability based on constraints.
• Participate in client meetings to review concept plans and direction.
• Attend site visits for data gathering and project context.
• Attend team meetings to discuss timelines and budgets.
• Participate in trainings and mentor sessions throughout the summer.
• Meet regularly with your mentor and attend office hours with company leadership.
