Job summary

Halff is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Public Works team in Corpus Christi, TX. The internship runs June 7–August 13, 2027, offering hands-on support on Public Works and Transportation projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities include designing civil engineering components, assisting with plans, specifications and cost estimates, performing drafting CAD tasks, and coordinating with surveyors, architects, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree.
• Great communication skills.
• Solid relationship and team building skills.
• Self-motivated and strong organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
• Perform drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
