Bohler's Boca Raton office is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to gain real-world experience on active site design projects. Work with engineers, designers, and project managers to support the full site development process from concept to construction.

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A self-starter attitude with ability to work independently and with a team
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not proficient)

Responsibilities

• Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm
• Learn the stages of the land development and site design process
• Enhance technical skills with hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D design: concept, grading, stormwater, utilities, erosion control
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process
• Participate in team meetings and contribute design/process improvements

About the Role

Bohler’s office in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real‑world site design projects. As a Summer 2027intern, you will gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm and understand the complete site development process, from concept to construction. By working alongside engineers, designers, and project managers, you will gain hands‑on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed‑use developments.

What You’ll Do

• Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm
• Learn the stages of the land development and site design process
• Enhance your technical skills with hands‑on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design:
  • Concept plans
  • Grading plans
  • Stormwater management plans
  • Utility system plans
  • Soil erosion and sediment control plans
