Job summary

Bohler’s office in Bowie, MD is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real-world site design projects. As a Summer 2027 intern, you will gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm and understand the complete site development process, from concept to construction.

By working alongside engineers, designers, and project managers, you will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting the design

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering program.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day civil site design tasks and documentation.
• Support development of concept, grading, stormwater and utility plans.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.
