Job summary

Bohler’s Atlanta office is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) to gain hands-on experience from concept to construction on real projects. You’ll work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, support design and permitting for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, and learn from engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with a team.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not proficient).
• Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concept plans for land development and site design projects.
• Assist in creating grading plans, stormwater management plans, utility system plans, and erosion/sediment control plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to move projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and understand the engineering process.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design/process improvements.
