Job summary

Wagman, Inc. is seeking Civil Engineering interns for the summer to support our Heavy Civil team. Interns will assist senior engineers, shadow project activities, and gain hands-on exposure to field construction tasks while developing communication and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Previous construction or internship is a plus, not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and take instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing work plans.
• Track and record field production quantities
• Assist with quantity takeoffs for concrete and earthwork operations
• Coordinating subcontractor work
• Procuring materials and equipment for upcoming work and track quantities
• Perform schedule updates and generating report updates of project progress
• Perform document control tracking and processing
• Will perform takeoffs.
• Investigating problems and/or reported incidents: identifying and recommending solutions/ alternatives as appropriate
• Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts
• Provides interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors or craft supervision
• Review shop drawings, draft RFIs, and assist with submittals.
