Job summary

Wagman, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern for a summer internship. Reporting to field supervision, the intern will assist the engineering team on assigned projects and support project teams to move plans toward completion.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, can take and follow instructions, and communicate effectively. Travel to regional sites, primarily PA, will be required; start date May 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering.
• Previous construction or internship is a plus, not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing work plans.
• Track and record field production quantities.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs for concrete and earthwork operations.
• Coordinating subcontractor work.
• Procuring materials and equipment for upcoming work and track quantities.
• Perform schedule updates and generating report updates of project progress.
• Perform document control tracking and processing.
• Will perform takeoffs.
• Investigating problems and/or reported incidents and proposing solutions.
