Job summary

Wagman Heavy Civil invites students pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering to join our summer internship as Engineer Intern. Reporting to field supervision, you will support the engineering team on the assigned project and learn to move plans forward safely.

This safety sensitive role involves on-site work, site visits, shadowing senior engineers, preparing work plans, takingoff quantities, coordinating subcontractors, and assisting with procurement and document control.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering in progress.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work on construction sites and shadow a field team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing work plans.
• Track and record field production quantities.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs for concrete and earthwork operations.
• Coordinate subcontractor work and procure materials/equipment.
• Perform schedule updates and project progress reporting.
• Perform document control tracking and processing.
• Shadow the engineering team on daily activities.
• Review drawings and assist with submittals.
