American Engineering Testing Inc is seeking motivated Civil Engineering students for a Summer 2027 internship in Saint Paul, MN. You will gain hands-on experience in construction materials testing and field observations while learning from experienced engineers.

The role involves assisting with testing procedures, communicating with project managers and clients, and supporting multiple disciplines across geotechnical and environmental projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related degree.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
• Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
• Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
