Job summary

Cagayan State University is seeking a Civil Engineering student for a structured internship in San Diego. You will review plans, perform quantity take-offs, assist scheduling and modeling, and help prepare reports under senior engineer supervision.

You'll collaborate with engineers and drafters, gain exposure to drawings, calculations, and cost estimates, and apply codes and standards while spacing site visits and inspections into your workload.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled civil engineering student (3rd/4th year) or graduate.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and engineering software such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to integrity and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
• Assist with computer modeling.
• Assist with producing progress reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Assist in producing drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under supervision.
• Apply proper codes and standards in deliverables.
• Attend site visits or inspections.
