Job summary

Cagayan State University is seeking a motivated Electrical/Architectural Engineering intern to assist in the design and engineering of power, lighting, grounding, and special building systems. You’ll work under a mentor to develop project deliverables and engage in all design phases from studies to construction administration.

You’ll collaborate with vendors, clients, and contractors while applying classroom knowledge to real-world projects in the AEC industry.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
• Willingness to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Interest in AEC industry and real-world engineering applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project deliverables under mentor guidance.
• Design and engineer power, lighting, grounding/bonding, and special systems (tel/data, security, fire alarm, raceway, cable tray).
• Engage in all design levels: studies, conceptual, schematic, DD, and construction administration.
• Perform load, illumination, short circuit, voltage drop calculations and prepare reports and drawings.
• Use CAD/engineering software to develop documents, calculations, drawings, and specs.
• Coordinate with design team and stakeholders across vendors, clients, and contractors.
