Centro Escolar University in Oakland seeks a motivated Civil Engineering intern to assist with plans, drawings, and cost estimates under supervision. You will perform quantity take-offs, support project monitoring and scheduling, and help produce progress reports while collaborating with engineers, drafters, and support staff.

The role offers exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and common engineering software while you advance your Civil Engineering studies and practical skills.

Qualifications

• Current 3rd-year undergraduate student in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering software.
• Preferred proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong commitment to integrity and ethical behavior.
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
• Assist with computer modeling.
• Assist with producing progress reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Assist in producing engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under senior engineer supervision.
• Apply appropriate engineering codes and standards.
• Attend site visits or inspections.
