Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Ashburn, Virginia office in 2027. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities include using technical software to analyze and QC deliverables, contributing to pre-construction civil design and permitting, and collaborating across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the future built environment. ABET accreditation by 2027 is required for eligible majors.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in specified majors.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and clients’ practices, procedures, and standards.
• Learn software programs specific to disciplines (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS).

Education

ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering; Engineering Technology
