Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Fort Lauderdale, Florida office in 2027. This is not a remote position.

The role centers on applying technical software to analyze and deliver client-ready outputs, while contributing to pre-construction civil engineering design and permitting processes. Qualified candidates will have an ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental or related fields, or Engineering Technology.

Qualifications

  • ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.
  • Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with regulations and Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
  • Learn software programs relevant to disciplines (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS).
