Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Fort Lauderdale, Florida office in 2027. This is not a remote position.

The role centers on applying technical software to analyze and deliver client-ready outputs, while contributing to pre-construction civil engineering design and permitting processes. Qualified candidates will have an ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental or related fields, or Engineering Technology.

Qualifications

ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.
Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables.
Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
Solve complex problems and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment.
Develop familiarity with regulations and Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
Learn software programs relevant to disciplines (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS).
