Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering graduates for our Arlington, Virginia office for 2027. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for graduates with ABET-accredited degrees in civil or environmental engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities include using software to analyze and QC deliverables, supporting pre-construction design and permitting, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to shape client projects while learning regulatory practices and internal standards.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) by Summer 2027 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or Engineering Technology
Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Electrical/Biosystems/Biological/Agricultural engineering considered for related fields

Responsibilities

Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients
Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects
Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions
Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and with Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards
Learn software programs specific to disciplines (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS)
