Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering graduates for our Arlington, Virginia office for 2027. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for graduates with ABET-accredited degrees in civil or environmental engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities include using software to analyze and QC deliverables, supporting pre-construction design and permitting, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to shape client projects while learning regulatory practices and internal standards.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) by Summer 2027 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Electrical/Biosystems/Biological/Agricultural engineering considered for related fields

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and with Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards
  • Learn software programs specific to disciplines (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS)
