Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Reston, Virginia office in 2027. This is not a remote position. Analysts will utilize technical software to analyze and QC deliverables for clients, and contribute to pre-construction design, permitting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Salary range indicates competitive compensation for ABET-accredited degree holders in Civil/Environmental or related engineering tracks, with growth through professional development at Kimley-Horn.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree expected by Summer 2027.
  • Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions for the built environment and assist project managers.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations as well as Kimley-Horn's standards.
  • Learn software programs specific to disciplines (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS).
