Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Civil Engineer, Land Development to support Starship infrastructure in Starbase, TX, with relocation to Louisiana in 2027. You will design, build, and activate a second orbital launch pad and related infrastructure to enable orbital launch capability for Starship.

Responsibilities include feasibility planning, storm water and drainage design, permitting, field construction management, and cost/schedule coordination with multiple contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 1+ years of civil engineering design experience.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD/Civil3D, Revit) required.

Responsibilities

• Own site feasibility, planning, storm water, grading, drainage and utility design.
• Perform calculations for grading, stormwater, water distribution, and underground utilities.
• Coordinate to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land development and utilities.
• Manage civil aspects of construction in the field, including quality control and contractor coordination.
• Interact with contractors and internal clients to develop requirements, schedule and cost estimates.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time.
