Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Civil Engineer for Land Development to help design, grade, and implement the infrastructure for Starship launch facilities in Louisiana. The position supports the Starbase infrastructure program and requires coordination across multiple disciplines, field execution, and permitting.

The role starts in Starbase, TX, with relocation to Louisiana required in early 2027. Travel up to 75%, long hours, and working at height are expected in a high-velocity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ year of civil engineering design, analysis and drafting.
• Experience with CAD software (Revit, AutoCAD/Civil3D).

Responsibilities

• Own site feasibility and planning, stormwater management, grading, drainage and utility design.
• Perform calculations for grading, stormwater facilities, water quality, domestic water distribution and underground utilities.
• Drive coordination and design to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land development and utilities.
• Manage civil aspects of construction in the field; QC, conflict resolution and multi-discipline coordination.
• Interact with contractors, owners, and internal clients to develop project requirements, schedule and cost estimates.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
