Job summary

SpaceX in Louisiana seeks a Civil Engineer, Land Development to join the Starship Infrastructure team. You will own site feasibility, storm water, grading, drainage and utility design, and help activate a second orbital launch pad.

Based in Starbase, TX initially, relocation to Louisiana is required in early 2027; travel up to 75% and long hours may be required. A Bachelor's in engineering and 1+ year civil design experience are required, with Revit or AutoCAD/Civil3D proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting.
• Experience using a CAD software design package (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD/Civil3D).

Responsibilities

• Own site feasibility and conceptual planning, storm water management, grading, drainage and utility design, erosion and sediment control.
• Perform calculations for grading and drainage, stormwater control facilities, water quality, domestic water distribution and other underground utilities.
• Drive coordination and design to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land development and utility projects.
• Manage civil aspects of construction projects in the field; include quality control and contractor coordination.
• Interact with contractors, fabricators, owners, and internal clients to develop project requirements, schedule and cost estimates.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
