Job summary

SpaceX in Starbase, Texas is hiring a Civil Engineer, Land Development to design, build, and activate an additional orbital launch pad and related infrastructure for the Starship program.

This onsite role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1+ years of civil engineering design experience, with CAD proficiency (Revit, AutoCAD/Civil3D). Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 1+ years of professional civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting experience.
• Experience using CAD software such as Revit or AutoCAD/Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Own site feasibility, planning, storm water management, grading, drainage and utility design.
• Perform calculations for grading, drainage, water quality, and underground utilities.
• Coordinate to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land development and utilities.
• Manage civil aspects of construction in the field, including quality control and contractor coordination.
• Interact with contractors, designers, owners, and clients to define requirements, schedules, and costs.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time.
