Job summary

SpaceX in Starbase, Texas is seeking a Civil Engineer, Land Development (Starship Launch Pad) to join the launch pad development team and help design, build, and activate a second orbital launch pad and related infrastructure.

You will own site feasibility, grading, drainage, permits coordination, and field construction oversight, working with multi-disciplinary engineers to meet demanding schedules in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting.
• Experience using CAD software such as Revit or AutoCAD/Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Own site feasibility and planning, storm water management, grading, drainage and utility design.
• Perform calculations for grading, drainage, water quality, and underground utilities.
• Coordinate to obtain local, state, and federal permits related to land development and utilities.
• Manage civil aspects of construction projects in the field, including QA/QC and contractor coordination.
• Interact with contractors, fabricators, owners, and internal clients to develop requirements, schedule and cost estimates.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
