Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Civil Engineer, Land Development for Starship Infrastructure in Louisiana. You will join a team working to design, build, and activate a second orbital launch pad and related infrastructure, moving from Starbase, Texas to Louisiana in 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years of civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting
• Experience using CAD software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD/Civil3D)

Responsibilities

• Own site feasibility and conceptual planning, storm water management, grading, drainage and utility design
• Perform calculations for grading and drainage, stormwater control facilities, water quality, domestic water distribution and utilities
• Drive coordination and design to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land development and utility construction
• Manage civil aspects of construction projects in the field including quality control and contractor coordination
• Interact with contractors, fabricators, owners and internal clients to develop project requirements, schedule and cost estimates
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time
