Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineer (P.E.) to lead design teams on land development and power grid resiliency projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. Responsibilities include site layout, grading, and stormwater management, with work across PA, WV, OH, and MD.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in civil engineering and 8–10 years of experience in erosion and sediment control with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, and HydroCAD; EIT/PE credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training certification required; PE preferred.
• Experience and understanding of land development processes, zoning reviews & compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff on development of designs and plans (site layout & grading).
• Design erosion and sediment control; post-construction stormwater management across PA, WV, OH, MD.
• Prepare NPDES permit applications.
• Submit land development applications per regulations.
• Ensure zoning compliance across projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field

Engineer in Training Certificate

Professional Engineering License preferred
