Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to design and oversee military construction and waterfront facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and supported Commands. You will assess designs, prepare specifications, and manage multi‑discipline projects, including post‑award support and site visits.

Ideal candidates hold a Professional Engineer license, meet security clearance requirements, and are US citizens eligible for federal employment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
U.S. Citizen 18+ at time of hire.
Male applicants must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

Responsibilities

Independently create and evaluate engineering designs for site developments, access roads, utility grids, and waterfront structures; prepare blueprints, cost estimates, and construction specifications.
Provide technical administration and management for multi-discipline design projects; lead design charrettes, identify risks, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Perform quality reviews on designs submitted by external A/E contractors; draft statements of work to secure external services.
Provide post‑award support, resolve RFIs, review contractor submittals, and conduct site visits to resolve construction challenges.
Act as organizational civil engineering expert, resolve complex design issues and mentor junior engineers.
