Job summary

Stantec invites a Civil Engineer in Training to join our Community Development Group in the United States. You will contribute to land development projects, assist in constructing plans and specs, and support cost estimates and field observations under senior supervision.

You should have a Civil Engineering degree, an EIT or plan to take the exam within six months, and be proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and MS Office. A valid driver’s license and strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work or Co-op/Internship experience.
• Engineer-in-Training designation or ability to take the EIT exam within six months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design and technical tasks under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Engineer.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines on the project.
• Perform data analysis and calculations for civil system components.
• Collect data and information to support design decisions.
• Perform field work/construction observation under supervision of a senior engineer/designer.
• Interpret and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
