Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Atlanta is seeking an Engineer-in-Training I to contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of civil engineering projects under a licensed professional engineer. You will assist in technical design, prepare reports, coordinate with project teams, and help develop plans for commercial, residential, and site development, focusing on grading, drainage, and utilities.

This entry-level role offers exposure to permitting and regulatory compliance and a path to EIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of start date.
• Internship experience with civil design firms is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation using MS Office.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions.
• Assist in design and preparation of plans for commercial, residential, and site development projects (grading, drainage, utilities).
• Analyze design alternatives to address site constraints and meet client objectives.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory compliance for site development projects.
• Additional related duties as needed.
