Pape-Dawson Engineers in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a full-time Engineer-in-Training IV to support civil design projects for public and private sectors. You will work with licensed engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors to develop site infrastructure and land development plans.

The role emphasizes design analysis, documentation, and collaboration across disciplines. Strong communication and reliability are required for this growing regional team.

Qualifications

• BS in civil or agricultural engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 3-4 years of civil design experience (site, commercial or residential).
• TN EI/EIT or ability to achieve by reciprocity.
• Experience with middle Tennessee jurisdiction entitlement, zoning, and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in producing plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Develop feasible design alternatives and compare parameters such as alignments and ROW requirements.
• Identify major design features and alternatives that satisfy project needs.
• Use CAD/engineering software to prepare documents and drawings.
• Prepare technical reports and studies using approved formats.
• Direct production work of technicians.
