Job summary

Pape-Dawson's Atlanta office is seeking an Engineer-in-Training I to join the growing team. The role supports design, analysis, and implementation of projects under a licensed PE, assisting in technical design and project coordination.

You will prepare technical reports, collaborate with managers, and help with grading, drainage, and utility layouts for commercial, residential, and site development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months from start date.
• Internship experience with a civil design firm is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions.
• Assist in the design and preparation of plans for grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
• Analyze design alternatives to address site constraints and meet client objectives.
• Collaborate on permitting and regulatory compliance for site development projects.
