Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Atlanta is seeking an Engineer-in-Training I to join the growing team. You will assist in design, analysis, and implementation under a licensed PE, contributing to site development projects with grading, drainage, and utilities.

You’ll prepare reports and coordinate with technicians and project managers to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. The role offers exposure to multidisciplinary teams, internship-ready experience, and a path toward professional licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• EEIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months from start date.
• Internship experience in civil design is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation using MS Office.
• Direct and review work of engineering technicians for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions.
• Assist in design and preparation of plans for grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Analyze design alternatives to meet client objectives and constraints.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance for site development.
