Job summary

Talon Hiring Solutions is partnering with a growing engineering and infrastructure organization to identify an experienced Civil Engineer III to support planning, design, and execution of complex site development and infrastructure projects.

This role offers opportunities to work on large-scale industrial, utility, commercial, and infrastructure projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience supporting infrastructure, site development, industrial, utility, or EPC-related projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
• Strong experience with site development design, grading and drainage design, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure design.
• Civil engineering calculations and technical reports; familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering designs for site development, infrastructure, industrial, and utility projects.
• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, stormwater management plans, and utility designs.
• Perform engineering calculations related to earthwork, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, and site development.
• Develop engineering reports, technical specifications, construction documents, and project deliverables.
• Prepare material quantity take-offs and support budgeting and estimating activities.
• Design and coordinate roadway, utility, drainage, and site infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and project engineering teams.
• Support projects through conceptual planning, detailed design, construction, and project closeout.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and multidisciplinary coordination efforts.
• Review survey, geotechnical, environmental, and permitting information to support design development.
• Assist with permitting efforts and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Evaluate site constraints and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing RFIs, submittals, and field modifications.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and engineering assessments as needed.
• Support quality initiatives, engineering standards, and continuous improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate will bring strong civil design expertise, project coordination experience, and the ability to independently manage engineering assignments from concept through construction.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project schedules and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel periodically for project meetings, field visits, and construction support activities.
