Job summary

Talon Hiring Solutions is partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure organization to identify an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the design, analysis, and execution of electrical systems for complex industrial, infrastructure, utility, and mission-critical projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting industrial, utility, infrastructure, manufacturing, or EPC projects.
• PE license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical engineering designs for industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, and utility projects.
• Prepare and review deliverables: single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, equipment specs.
• Develop grounding and bonding systems, lighting and power layouts, and construction packages.
• Perform calculations and power system studies to support design and reliability.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams.
• Review vendor proposals, submittals, drawings, and data.
• Support project phases from planning to commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and project requirements.

Talon Hiring Solutions is partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure organization to identify an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the design, analysis, and execution of electrical systems for complex industrial, infrastructure, utility, and mission-critical projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction and commissioning. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in power systems and electrical design while contributing to project delivery, equipment integration, and engineering excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Develop electrical engineering designs for industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, and utility-related projects.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables including:
• Single-line diagrams
• Electrical schematics
• Cable schedules
• Equipment specifications
• Grounding and bonding systems
• Lighting and power distribution layouts
• Construction packages
• Perform engineering calculations to support system design, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct power system studies including load flow, voltage drop, protective device coordination, and related analyses.
• Develop equipment specifications and procurement documentation.
• Review vendor proposals, technical submittals, drawings, and equipment data.
• Support projects through planning, detailed design, procurement, construction, startup, and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate electrical engineering activities with civil, structural, mechanical, controls, instrumentation, and project teams.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability evaluations, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Identify technical risks and develop practical solutions to support project objectives.
• Support equipment integration, installation planning, testing, and startup activities.
• Respond to field questions, review project changes, and help resolve construction-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Support quality initiatives, engineering standards, and continuous improvement efforts.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting industrial, utility, infrastructure, manufacturing, or EPC-related projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Power systems engineering
• Electrical distribution systems
• Grounding and protection systems
• Electrical codes and industry standards
• Instrumentation and control integration
• Experience performing electrical calculations and power system studies.
• Experience preparing engineering deliverables, procurement packages, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with PLC, DCS, SCADA, or industrial control systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or similar engineering software.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
