Job summary

The City of Arlington is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead planning, design, drafting and oversight for water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation and streets projects. The role includes comprehensive plan review, regulatory research, capital planning, and data analysis for infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and professional licensure as a PE or the ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum four years of progressively responsible public works engineering experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations as they relate to public developments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee street, sewer, water, and stormwater projects.
• Prepare plans, specs and estimates for bidding and administer the bidding process.
• Execute contracts, provide project administration, and manage public outreach.
• Coordinate with City departments on design standards and legal requirements.
• Assist in grant development and administration for city improvements.
