Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or applicable engineering discipline.
• Master's Degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise, administrative support, and coordination for the Engineering Bureau, County staff, the public, and external agencies.
• Develop and review detailed design and construction engineering plans, cost estimates, technical reports, and related documentation.
• Coordinate project implementation with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to meet schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and review external consultants' work for quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with surveyors and real estate specialists regarding property acquisition and easement needs.
• Develop materials and participate in pre-bid meetings, public engagement presentations, construction meetings, and other project events.
• Analyze engineering problems, assess solutions, and recommend actions aligned with project goals.
• Conduct field inspections to resolve design discrepancies and verify information; collaborate with survey teams and contractors.
• Conduct feasibility studies evaluating technical, economic, and environmental factors.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
