Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a professional engineer/land surveyor to oversee parks and recreation projects. Responsibilities include planning, designing, constructing, inspecting, and maintaining parks and facilities, with contract preparation and complex project inspections.

Qualifications include a degree in Civil/Geomatics-related fields and 4–6+ years of relevant experience, plus Alaska licensure within six months.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, or a closely related discipline and six (6) years of professional engineering or land surveying experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, or a closely related discipline and four (4) years of professional engineering or land surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs professional engineering or surveying tasks for parks and recreation engineering projects.
• Plan, design, construct, inspect, and maintain parks, recreational facilities, and related engineering projects.
• Prepare contracts, inspect complex construction projects, and advise on major problems of construction.
