Penn E&R in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our team. Based out of our local office, you will work on site development and stormwater projects with both office and field assignments.

Responsibilities include preparing site plans, hydrology and drainage calculations, erosion control design, and AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting. You will collaborate with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and help prepare proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) license; experience not required but a plus.
• 0–3 years of civil engineering experience; EIT is a plus.
• Hydrology and hydraulics, erosion and sediment controls, stormwater management concepts.
• Hydrology and drainage design experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and stormwater management plans.
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations; drainage design.
• Develop erosion control designs and stormwater management calculations.
• Produce AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings; create 3-D surfaces and grading plans.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and assist in proposal preparation.

Penn E\u0026R is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (Entry-Level). While you will be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office, we offer hybrid flexibility. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E\u0026R\'s market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans.
• Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations.
• Erosion and sediment control design.
• Stormwater management calculations.
• Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design.
• Infiltration Testing.
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following: Creating 3-D surfaces, Grading plans, Profiles/cross-sections, Pipe networks and corridors.
• Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals.

Qualifications include

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Engineer In Training license.
• 0 to 3 years of civil engineering experience.
• EIT a plus.
• Schooling and/or work experience in the following is a plus: Hydrology and hydraulics, Erosion and sediment controls, Stormwater management controls, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
